Joan's Bio/CV

Born in the Chilean coastal city of Valparaíso, Joan studied Fine Art at both the University of Chile and Chile's Catholic University. In Sweden, she studied ceramics in Johan Öster's studio and during this time completed additional courses in glazes, bronze casting, and granite sculpture.
Upon returning to Chile, Joan founded her own studio dedicated to the teaching of stoneware ceramic techniques: clay body composition, modeling, wheel work, and formulation of glazes. read more >>
