Design
All the works are designed by Joan and individually created by hand using high-temperature stoneware techniques. Because she never uses forms or molds, each piece is unique even in her matching sets. Joan emphasizes important details, such as adjusting the teapot's size to the number of teacups in a set.
The catalog contains several examples of works produced in the studio. Joan also accepts special commissions.
Drawing
One by one, Joan hand-paints every stoneware piece using her own formulated glazes, making each ceramic into a unique work of art. As such, Joan's plates and bowls can be used daily at the table or displayed on the wall.
The themes of Joan's drawings are related to the ocean, its force and movement, and also with the female form.
